Intel ordered to produce evidence

A U.S. District Court has ordered Intel to produce documents and other evidence related to its business conduct outside of the U.S., according to a statement issued Thursday (Dec. 28) by Advanced Micro Devices. Intel downplayed the ruling Thursday, telling EE Times that it was narrowly focused on whether or not a Sept. 26 ruling by the court dismissing foreign commerce claims brought by AMD. The spokesman said the ruling did not speak to the merits or admissibility of the evidence.

According to Vnunet, Toshiba has developed a printer (B-SX8R) that can erase and reprint — up to 500 times — on a single sheet of paper. Toshiba’s process uses a special pigment in the paper that reacts to heat. If heated above 180 degrees centigrade the pigment turns black, creating an image on the sheet. However, if the surface is heated to between 130 and 170 degrees the pigment reverts to white, allowing the image to be ‘erased’
